Seoul Immigration Office Cancels EPS Visa of Migrants’ Trade Union Chairperson

An article published on BWI Connect, February 2011.

"On February 10, 2011 the Seoul Immigration Office cancelled the Employment Permit System (EPS) visa of Michel Catuira, Chairperson of the Migrant Trade Union, affiliated to the Seoul Branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Union in South Korea.

According to a statement issued by the Migrants’ Trade Union (MTU), “the order for departure of MTU leader Michel is cutting off the tongue of the migrant worker who speaks out and tying the hands and feet of the fighting migrant workers and is a clear oppression of the activities of workers unions.”"
