Philippines Government opens labour office to stop migrant exploitation

Stuff, Philippines, 19 November 2019 - The Philippines Government has opened a New Zealand labour office to protect its migrant workers from exploitation and help victims of abuse.

Newly appointed labour attache Angel Borja said the Philippines Overseas Labour Office (POLO) in Wellington would assist workers struggling with employment issues and take over checking of contracts previously done by the Canberra office.
